Board ousts Wangusi pending investigations into abuse of office allegations

The Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) board has sent its Director General Francis Wangusi on compulsory leave as investigations into allegations of unfair promotions at the institution begin. Mr. Wangusi who was currently serving his second term at the regulator institution was accused of unfair promotions and malpractices in staff training.

In a press statement distributed to media houses and signed by the board session chair Mr. Christopher Huka, Mr. Wangusi’s position will be filled by Christopher Kemei in acting capacity. Kemei is currently the Director of Licensing, Compliance and Standards at the Authority.
