Dolce VIP lounge sets up Africa’s first ‘in-club’ radio station dubbed Radio 1
As part of the new services to be offered by the Dolce VIP lounge, the management has set up a radio station at the new look club. Dubbed Radio 1, the online radio will be broadcasting live from the lounge and will be accessible globally. With the introduction of theme nights on to the new servings, the radio station will serve as an entertainment platform where patrons, presenters and hosts will interact as well as advertise products and services. The station will play a wide range of music with its main focus on African music.
Starting broadcasts on Lounge Night, the radio station which has been described as Africa’s Rainbow will be part of the colourful events that will be hosted at the lounge. Listeners from all over the world will be able to air their views and interact one on one as they get entertained. Apart from entertainment value, listeners will be able to win lots of prizes including membership to the club, a meal or even a bottle of whiskey!
‘The launch of this radio station will revolutionise the way we interact with the world. The rest of the world who will not be physically with us at the Dolce VIP lounge will still be able to keenly follow dancing the night away with us through the online radio portal,’
said the club Chairman Habib Omar Kongo in an exclusive interview with thetruth.co.ke.
He added that the radio station’s purpose is to actually extend membership to non-members such that they are able to be entertained from wherever they are.
