Isaac Ruto dumps NASA for Jubilee
NASA principal and ousted Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto who has been missing in the limelight has finally resurfaced, embracing Jubilee leaders in Kericho County today. By the look of things, the tough talking Ruto has softened and is set to join the Jubilee side.
Just yesterday, the National Super Alliance (NASA) had indicated that the coalition was in close communication with the former Governor and that he was in NASA to stay.
Isaac Ruto’s defection comes at a time when the Jubilee party is bracing itself for a second round of presidential election following the nullification of the August 8th polls. Yesterday, Wiper party secretary General Omar Hassan resigned as the party’s secretary General and even indicated that he would not campaign for NASA in the remaining 37 days before the fresh polls.
Governor Isaac Ruto’s Chama Cha Mashinani has been one of the five political parties that made up the NASA coalition.
