Jubilee Party Denies Ownership of Letter Circulating on Social Media

Jubilee Party Secretary-General, Raphael Tuju has termed the document circulating on social media as fake, and urged Kenyans to ignore any claims made in the doctored letter.

In the letter, name of Kenyan legendary footballer, McDonald Mariga, was one of the presented as potential candidates.

The other candidates forwarded by the ruling party in the fake letter were Morris Peter Kinyanjui, Mukinyingi Walter Trenk, Said Ibrahim and Doreen Khayanga Wasike.

Tuju had earlier on announced that the party would indeed field a candidate for the fast-looming Kibra by-election.

In the official Twitter account the Party wrote“This letter that is making rounds within social media outlets is FAKE. Please note that any communication regarding the Kibra Constituency by-election will be done through the official Party organ.”

Twitter Handlers had lead by the Deputy President’s Staff and Digital Content Head Dennis Itumbi  had posted the letter including all the names of the potential candidates.

The Controversial Digital King has relented to pull the content down saying he is going to stand by his earlier post.
