KURA Attracts More Partners In Massive Tree Planting Drive

The Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) has roped in more partners in an ambitious tree planting program aimed at making urban roads across the country green.

 

The agency has over the years been involved in massive tree planting exercises that are aimed at transforming road network surroundings.

 

During an exclusive interview with the media KURA Director General Eng. Silas Kinoti revealed that they target to plant at least 1,000 trees on Saturday (1st April) in Nairobi.

 

The exercise will cover CTM to the junction mall along Ngong road an approximate 3 kilometre stretch.

 

Kenyans willing to participate in the noble cause have been asked to converge at CTM opposite Ngong Hills Hotel on the material Saturday at 10am.

The notable partners are the ministry of roads, Rotary, Kenya Forest service, vivo energy, The Kilimani Project Foundation among others.
