Kisumu-based philanthropist and politician Edward Onyango, through his Bob CEO foundation, in an ambitious partnership with Maxcure hospital and Nyawita medical clinic has taken free medical services to Nyawita market center in efforts to take medical services closer to the people of Nyawita in Kisumu county.
The well attended free medical camp will cover general surgical and gynecological screening, among other services.

Speaking ahead of the event, the politician cum businessman popularly known as Bob CEO reiterated his commitment to ensuring good health to the residents.
“A healthy nation is a wealthy nation. We must continously invest in our people’s well-being by providing alternative health screening, diagnosis and treatment in a bid to ensure all residents in our community live a disease-free life to be able to provide for their families. We have held such camps in the past and will continue with these initiatives in the future,’
he said.
This is not the first time Bob CEO is facilitating such important medical camps. The medics behind today’s event urged residents to bring along their previous treatment records, including lab, x-ray, ultrasound, mammogram and other reports related to their ailments.
“As you attend the medical camp, please bring along previous treatment records to help us save time on diagnosis and treatment,’
noted the officer in charge of the camp.
The free medical camp comes at a time when Kenyans have faced challenges with treatment at public and private hospitals due to failures with the Social Health Insurance Fund (SHIF) provided by the Social Health Authority (SHA).
