Bolt, one of Africa’s dominant mobility platforms, has announced it will sponsor this year’s Latitude59 Nairobi, scheduled for December 3 to 5. The tech festival, now in its second Kenyan edition, is expected to draw leading founders, investors, and digital economy strategists to examine how African-built solutions can expand to international markets.

Reaffirming its commitment to nurturing entrepreneurship across the continent, Bolt will take an active role in the event’s programme. Weyinmi Aghadiuno, the company’s Head of Regulatory and Policy for Africa, is set to speak on a panel that will explore the policy conditions required to help innovators thrive and how startups can design products capable of scaling beyond national borders.
A major highlight will be the participation of the top ten startups selected under the Kenya Bolt Accelerator initiative. The cohort will gain rare exposure to Latitude59’s global investment community, pitching their ventures to international venture capital firms, corporate innovation leaders, and other ecosystem influencers. The opportunity is expected to provide critical visibility, mentorship prospects, and potential funding pathways.
Aghadiuno underscored Bolt’s belief in the power of local innovation, noting:
“The future of mobility, commerce, and digital services on the continent will be shaped by courageous ideas from African founders. Our accelerator programme, combined with our backing of Latitude59 Nairobi, is designed to help entrepreneurs tap into global networks and scale solutions that uplift communities.”
In addition to investor engagement, the finalists will be introduced to Estonia’s renowned e-Residency programme. The initiative offers a simplified route for entrepreneurs seeking access to the European Union market, enabling them to set up digital companies that operate across borders and benefit from one of the world’s most advanced digital business ecosystems.
