Bolt Partners with MOOKH to Deliver Safer and More Convenient Rides for Festive Season Event-Goers

Corporate News

Bolt, the well-known on demand mobility platform, has entered into a strategic partnership with MOOKH, the digital commerce and ticketing platform that is marking its tenth anniversary.

The agreement aims to provide safe, affordable and seamless transport solutions for thousands of people attending events during the festive season. The collaboration ensures that customers who buy event tickets through MOOKH will receive priority access to verified Bolt rides at designated pickup points near event venues. This approach is intended to give revelers a smooth and secure experience as they move to and from various festive activities.

The partnership is rooted in the rising importance that Kenyans place on personal safety when choosing their preferred mode of transport. A recent Ipsos study on mobility trends indicates that ninety four percent of Kenyan ride hailing users now view app based transport as significantly safer than traditional public service vehicles and conventional taxis.

The same study reveals that seventy nine percent of users believe ride hailing platforms have played a major role in reducing drunk driving by offering convenient, reliable and continuously available transport options, especially late at night when risks tend to be higher.

Adega Murbe, Regional Marketing Manager for Africa, explained that Bolt remains committed to putting rider safety first. She noted that the partnership with MOOKH reinforces Bolt’s long-standing mission to ensure that every customer enjoys safe, dependable and cost-effective transportation throughout the most active season of the year.

She highlighted the platform’s comprehensive safety features, which include real-time tracking, an emergency SOS function, verified driver and vehicle details, and the option to share trip information with trusted contacts. Murbe described MOOKH as a long-standing and trusted player in the events industry and expressed confidence that the collaboration will enhance safety for thousands of festive season attendees.

As part of the agreement, Bolt will introduce special ride discounts for both new and existing users attending MOOKH powered events. New customers will receive sixty percent off their first two rides, while existing riders will enjoy a thirty percent discount on two rides during the next three months.

MOOKH, which is celebrating ten years of enabling seamless ticketing, digital payments and creative commerce, continues to shape the events landscape in Kenya. The partnership with Bolt underscores its commitment to improving the overall experience for event goers, from ticket purchase to their safe return home.

George Gachui, Co Founder of MOOKH, described the partnership as an important investment in the comfort, safety and satisfaction of the regional events community. He explained that the collaboration is designed to elevate the full journey of event attendees and reflects MOOKH’s dedication to improving the professionalism and growth of the events industry across Africa.

The joint initiative responds to a rising demand for reliable and affordable transport during high traffic event periods. It also introduces a unique model for how corporate brands can work together to support Kenya’s rapidly expanding events ecosystem.
